Bill Maher is an American comedian, political commentator, and TV host who is best known for hosting the long-running political satire-based shows Politically Incorrect (1993–2002) and Real Time with Bill Maher (2003–present). He has been a vocal critic of religious orthodoxy and his 2008 documentary film called Religulous had become one of the highest-grossing documentaries of all time. He is an ardent supporter of animal rights and has served on the board of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). In 2010, he was honored with a ‘Star’ on the ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame’.
